What is a Cut-Off Light?
In applications such as architectural lighting, commercial displays, and landscape lighting, light must not only be “bright” but also “precise.”
A cut-off light is a professional lighting solution that uses precise light control technology to project light within preset boundaries. It clearly cuts the light into squares, rectangles, or other specific shapes, preventing light from spilling into areas that do not need to be illuminated.
Compared to conventional floodlights, cut-off lights effectively reduce stray light and light pollution, making key areas such as building facades, walls, storefronts, and exhibition spaces stand out more prominently. At the same time, the crisp, clean edges of the light beam lend the overall lighting effect a sense of order and sophistication.
Mavic Series
To meet the needs of different luminaire sizes, installation spaces, and application scenarios, the Herculux Mavic Series has been expanded to include multiple sizes.
Previously, the Mavic Series was only available in a 38mm size; now, the product lineup includes five sizes—18mm, 28mm, 38mm, 48mm, and 58mm—offering greater flexibility for lighting design and project applications.
Whether it’s small, elegant accent lighting fixtures or high-power architectural floodlights and landscape lighting fixtures, the Mavic Series can accommodate a wide range of size requirements to deliver more precise and professional cut-off effects.
Mavic58-10° Mavic58-90°
In this latest release, the Mavic 58 series introduces two new beam angles—10° and 90°—offering a wider range of lighting options to meet various lighting needs.
Mavic58-10°
Ideal for long-distance projection, accent lighting, and spot lighting. The narrow beam angle concentrates the light, allowing you to precisely highlight architectural details, signage, sculptures, or specific display areas, making the illuminated objects stand out more prominently.
Mavic58-90°
Ideal for close-range, wide-area lighting applications. The wide beam angle covers a broader area of walls, facades, or display areas, enhancing overall lighting coverage and uniformity while ensuring a clear cutoff line.
One is designed for “precise focusing,” while the other is designed for “wide-area coverage.” With the launch of the Mavic 58 10° and 90° models, the Mavic Series now offers even more flexible lighting effects across different projection distances, illumination ranges, and application environments.
External GOBO Shapes
In addition to expanded size and angle options, the Mavic Series also offers lenses with external GOBO plates.
The external GOBO plates feature a plug-and-play design, allowing for quick replacement of different patterns or light-blocking plates without the need for complicated disassembly or installation. Users can flexibly adjust the projection effects according to project requirements to achieve pattern projections, text projections, logo displays, and personalized light and shadow effects.
Compared to traditional built-in designs, replacing external GOBO plates is more convenient and allows for more efficient maintenance, while also opening up more creative possibilities for the use of these fixtures in commercial spaces, brand signage, exhibition halls, stages, and cultural and tourism night tours.
