What is indirect lighting?
Indirect lighting is a design technique that does not direct light toward the human eye or the object requiring illumination. Instead, it first projects light onto walls, ceilings, floors, or specific reflective surfaces. Through diffuse reflection from these surfaces, it creates soft, uniform ambient lighting free from glare. Indirect lighting eliminates harsh shadows and strong contrast between light and dark areas, effectively preventing glare to create a visually comfortable environment. It also significantly enhances the sense of space and ambiance within a room.

Why Choose the Butterfly Series?
One of the commonly used indirect lighting solutions on the market is upward-emitting optics that illuminate the ceiling directly. Typically implemented as a combination of a light panel and a diffuser panel, this approach suffers from a narrow optical angle for upward light emission. This results in a limited coverage area on the ceiling, uneven light distribution, and noticeable yellow edges. (As shown in the figure)
